Digital Safety &
Technology Learning for Older Adults

For Older Adults & Families

More Freedom.
Less Second-Guessing.

Build simple habits for handling messages, payments, scams, AI and everyday technology with greater understanding.

For Senior-Serving Organizations

Turn Trust Into
Everyday Readiness.

Bring clear, relevant digital safety and technology education to the older adults you already serve.

Why This Matters

Digital Confidence Is Becoming an Everyday Life Skill.

Banking. Healthcare. Communication. Shopping. Travel. Government services. AI.

More of everyday life now happens through technology.

That creates new ways for older adults to stay connected and get things done. It also makes one skill increasingly important:

Knowing when to trust, question or verify.

Seniors using technology confidently

Trainer Certification

Trust Shouldn't Depend on Who Is Leading the Room.

When organizations bring digital safety education to older adults, how that learning is delivered matters.
Silver Shield Alliance is developing a facilitator certification pathway designed to support clear, respectful and consistent program delivery.

Train Practice Assess Continue Learning

This planned pathway will include curriculum preparation, facilitation practice, assessment and continued learning as digital risks and technologies evolve.

Frequently Asked Questions About Silver Shield Alliance

Do I need to know anything about computers to attend?

No. Not one thing. Our sessions are built for people at every level — including people who don't own a smartphone and don't want one. Nobody is going to ask you to download anything or prove you know something.

What actually happens in a workshop?

You sit in a small group with a facilitator and talk through the situations people are actually running into — the phone call about your grandson, the text about a package, the person who becomes a very good friend very quickly. There is no lecture, no quiz, and no scary slideshow.

How many people are in a session?

Ten, at most, with one certified facilitator. That's deliberate — small enough that you can ask a question without an audience, and small enough that the facilitator can actually hear you.
